"Sink me! The Lady's a Poet..."

Okay, so just who am I? Obviously, my name is not just "Jai". My full name is J'aimie Michelle Graham -- but Jai is the nickname... everyone uses it, and I prefer it more than my full name. Where I live does not matter... although, most people know it. Let me just say it's close enough to Broadway so that I can feed my little (::cough:: Understatement ::cough::) obsession with the theatre. I have seen Riverdance, Cats, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon (twice -- the second time, I saw the show on Broadway ... the final Broadway Performance with Lea Salonga), The Scarlet Pimpernel (twice -- both in the National Tour. Once in Boston, and next is Providence), Jekyll and Hyde, Forbidden Broadway, and finally, the Phantom of the Opera (in Tampa). As you must be able to tell, I'm a huge performing-arts fan!

My favorite part of seeing something live has to be the adventures at the stage door. Nine out of ten times, the cast is more than sweet... my favoite experience has been at the Wang Center -- when I saw Miss Saigon, and then The Scarlet Pimpernel. (Thank you Phong, Brien, William, Robert, and Amy!) Anyway... enough about that...

I am an aspiring actress. My "stage debut" was in the fifth grade and cast as the love-sick Hermia in a Midsummer Night's Dream. But my dancing "career" started when I was six years old... an ensamble member in Alice in Wonderland! Since then, I've been in shows like "Anastasia", "The King and I", "Riverdance", "The Nutcracker" and this year, I'll be performing in the "Cirque de Soiel" with my dance company. I take ballet, jazz, tap, and pointe, and have taken Irish Step dancing. My musical debut is this year -- I'm peforming in "Schoolhouse Rock, Live!" for my school Drama Company. The theatre is a way of life, not an obsession, and even now I know that I want to perform on the Broadway Stage. I look up to people like Douglas Sills, Amy Bodnar, Lea Salonga, Robert Patteri and of course, William Paul Michals. The Theatre has given me more friends than I can count -- including my dear partners in crime, Ses and Olivia.

Please take the time to read my "Toast!". Thanks so much -- love and Broadway forever! ~~Jai
